Documentation Level IV
3D & Point-Cloud Documentation
Level IV produces durable, navigable spatial records intended for long-term reference. This is the level where point-cloud outputs are expected.
Purpose
Navigable spatial records for lifecycle reference.
Point-cloud and/or model-producing capture methods are applied to produce navigable spatial records and long-term reference models.
Typical scope outcomes
- Navigable spatial reference suitable for long-term access
- Continuity-aware organization and archival readiness
- Controlled handling aligned with custody requirements
Capture Methods (Execution-Defined)
Capture methods are selected and applied by EDIS based on site conditions, documentation level requirements, and custody controls. Methods are disclosed in the project record but are not client-selectable options.
Examples (illustrative, non-contractual)
- High-resolution still imaging
- Point-cloud capture (as applicable)
- Spatial context capture (as applicable)
- Field acquisition methods matched to site conditions
Custody & QCM Controls
Archive-grade handling and validation.
Level IV is positioned for long-term reference. Custody handling and QCM validation are applied to preserve integrity, continuity, and audit readiness.
Deliverables
Deliverables are defined by documentation level and scope authorization. Access controls, retention expectations, and record indexing are documented in the project record.
